Founded by a collaborative husband and wife team, Joshua Tree Space Program embodies a vision of unity among diverse business endeavors, all converging under one cohesive digital platform. From providing immersive off-grid experiences at The Living Lab to delivering top-notch audiovisual production services through The Sound Lab, and showcasing the artistic prowess of a seasoned sculptor at The Structure Lab, this case study offers an in-depth exploration of the journey to craft a comprehensive online presence for Joshua Tree Space Program.

Each business arm has been meticulously catered to with personalized user experiences, including a booking calendar for the vacation rental & yoga therapy sessions, personalized yoga therapy through The Breath Lab, and other specialized services. Below I will delve into the intricate process of UX/UI design and development, navigating the challenges and triumphs of creating a seamless and engaging digital ecosystem that reflects the essence of Joshua Tree Space Program.

The Challenge

In developing the digital solution for Joshua Tree Space Program, we faced a multifaceted challenge that demanded careful consideration of each business arm’s unique requirements. With a hidden vacation rental boasting an integrated booking calendar and a sound production company website, the challenge was to seamlessly integrate these diverse elements into one cohesive platform.

Additionally, the incorporation of personalized user pages, featuring uploaded videos and audio for clients’ yoga practice, posed a significant technical hurdle that demanded innovative solutions. Furthermore, providing a space to showcase large and medium sculptures, facilitating the sale of commissioned projects, and establishing an online store for ephemera and smaller art pieces necessitated a robust e-commerce infrastructure.

To complement these functionalities, I integrated image galleries to showcase artwork, yoga poses, and the vacation rental, along with an integrated blog to enhance search visibility and generate excitement about the unique concept behind Joshua Tree Space Program.
